Friends of Reston Fall 5k
Race begins at 8am
Brown's Chapel Park, 1686 Browns Chapel Road

Our annual 5k is open to all ages and participants are welcome to run, walk, or stroll. Race t-shirts are provided and medals are awarded in a variety of categories. The race raises funds for youth scholarships and enrichment in Reston Association programs.

Mini-Train Rides at Reston Town Center
12-4pm, November & December​

Enjoy a mini train ride with the family through the streets of Reston Town Center, and benefit local charities. Departures are in front of the Pavilion Ice Rink on Market Street. All proceeds benefit Friends of Reston. Reservations are Required and will open one week ahead of the event. One reservation is good for a group of 4 people. Groups are limited to 4 people in a train car and the reservation gets you the one train car.

German Armed Forces Command Christmasmarket

This festive and joyful event is hosted by the German military who generously donate a portion of the proceeds to the Friends of Reston! Experience the magic of a traditional German Christmas market, right here in the heart of Reston. Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere as you stroll through rows of charming stalls adorned with twinkling lights and decorations. Indulge in delicious German food and drinks, including Bratwurst and Glühwein (mulled wine), beer and sweet treats. Discover unique handcrafted gifts, ornaments, and souvenirs, perfect for spreading holiday cheer. Come and be a part of this memorable event that will leave you with cherished memories and a warm holiday spirit.

Free fun for all ages.
Join us at this annual event, featuring entertainment and a native plant sale. Enjoy kids activities or rent a canoe/kayak on Lake Audubon. There will be booths, displays and activities from local environmental groups. Thanks to our Entertainment Sponsor, the Reston Community Center.

Dine at Red's Table and you can donate to the Friends of Reston Camp Scholarship fund. June through September, diners at Red's Table can round-up their payments to the nearest dollar, or any amount to directly support the Friends of Reston RA Camp Scholarship Fund.
